Hi, I am a single mother and I am also looking for some assistance in paying off my gas bill (balance from last year) which I received a shut-off notice recently. I attend accelerated classes in order to find a better paying job. I rob "peter to pay Paul" on all my other bills to try to stay afloat. So far I did not pay my rent this month yet, due to paying my off my light bill that was about to be turned off. Usually, I don't have much of a problem, but now I am extremely overwhelmed and do not know where to turn. Has anyone had any luck with applying for a grant?
